County Clerk
The County Clerk serves as the official records keeper of the Commissioners Court, the County Court, the County Court at Law, all Land and Official Public Records, as well as the Local Registrar for all Vital Records.  Gillespie County is a Constitutional Court as well as a Statutory Court.  

Vitals

The County Clerk's involvement in the Vital Statistics Department dealing with personal records is principally in the issuing of marriage licenses, the recording of birth and death certificates, and the issuing of certified copies of the same.

Marriage Licenses are issued Monday - Friday, between the hours of 9:00am to 3:00pm. Please bring a valid ID and the fee of $80.  For any other questions, please call 830-997-6515.
